Bridal Make Up

All brides want to look special and fabulous on their wedding day while looking true to themselves. And this is possible only with the right bridal make-up where you will not look like a stranger in your wedding photographs.

Though you don't usually wear make up, it is better, and needed to bend rules a bit on the wedding day to wear make up to make your skin flawless and glowing. When applying bridal make up, it is better to first use a transparent gel. This gel, or primer works not only as part of the foundation, but also forms a barrier between the skin and make up to make the make up stay, and colors to stay true.

When applying bridal make up, it is important that you aim for a natural look while defining your eyes. You can shape your eyes with eyeliner where smudgeable powder liner is the best bet. Make it a point to avoid harsh lines and to curl your lashes by holding the curler against the dry lashes for a few seconds. After this, about 2-3 layers of waterproof mascara have to be applied. If you have a professional working for you, you could consider having false lashes in the corners for enhanced bridal make up.

When applying bridal make up, you have to choose your eye shadow carefully by avoiding trendy colors. Blue eye shadow may look nice now; but once the photos grow old, the color tends to fade. Never use bright colors for eye shadows as they tend to scream from photos while you have to avoid gray colors as it makes the skin look ashy. Instead it is better to choose a true color where neutrals provide the best effect.

In bridal make up, use lip liners to frame your lips, and to hold the color. Remember to choose a natural color and not something dark. It is always better to brush the lipstick on while adding a small amount of gloss in the center of the bottom lip for a special glow. Make it a point to avoid pale colors as it makes your lips fade into the dress. Whichever color you choose for the lips and eyes in the bridal make up, it is important that there is some balance between the lips and eyes.

If you love to have a tan, it is better to avoid tanning when the wedding day nears as it tends to make things look artificial and harsh in wedding photos. The tan clashes with the bridal make up. Though it may cost a bit of money, it is better to have a professional apply your bridal makeup where you will realize the value of the money you spend from the photos.

Try to avoid makeup for a few days before the wedding day, and before applying bridal make up as it gives your skin some rest. And most important of all, lots of sleep prior to the wedding day will enhance the effects of any form of bridal make up.
